How it works
MMSAbility is provided as an executable application that your company deploys to it's servers. The deployed application POP's end-user MMS messages from your mail server (on a configurable basis), parses the messages and spools them onto your server's storage space as an XML file which points to the message attachment(s).
At this point, you have messages delivered in a standardised format with no vendor advertising and your applications can retrieve these XML files and integrate the attachments into your products.
Before and after
The message below is a typical MMS message containing user content and provider advertising :
After processing by MMSAbility, an XML file containing the message and attachment details is spooled to disk [sample]. Thus a standard interface is presented to your applications, meaning the applications can ignore the complexities of accepting and parsing MMS messages from a variety of providers, allowing your development teams to concentrate on creating innovative solutions.
